About Us

Solo Paws Dog Training is run by professional dog trainer Jeff Moore and provides practical dog training to cater for you and your dog's individual needs.

Jeff has owned, worked and trained dogs for over 30 years. He was a Police Dog Handler and Dog Training Instructor at The Metropolitan Police Dog Training School, Keston. He has also worked and trained search dogs in the Private Security Industry.

Jeff spent four years working for a leading Dog Rescue Organisation, assessing and training rescue dogs. This included assessments, training and enrichment for challenging dogs, some of which have gone on to fulfil their potential and are now operational working dogs.

Jeff is a registered volunteer for a German Shepherd Rescue.

We cover all aspects of dog training including reactive behaviours, recall issues, resource guarding, over-stimulation and separation anxiety.

We believe that all dog training should be kept simple and practical which allows important basic foundations to be put in place to help with your dog's behaviour, temperament and development.

We also provide Puppy Training Classes and Recall Sessions

Dog Training

£60

One hour 'Practical' dog training session. This is one-to-one training with you and your dog.

We cover all aspects of dog training and will structure the session to meet you and your dogs individual needs.

Dog Rescues - Dog Training and Support

Free

This is a free place on the puppy classes (depending on age) or free One-to-One structured sessions for a registered Foster Carer or Volunteer with a local dog rescue and are currently caring for a rescue dog.

This will be with the consent of the Rescue that is responsible for the dog.

Solo Paws will also contact the Rescue to confirm what relevant training is required for the individual dog.

Training will be delivered in Oxted or surrounding area

Dog Training Advice

Free

Telephone advice on all aspects of dog training and development. No matter how big or small your concerns, we are happy to discuss these with you and offer some basic and practical training advice. Some dog owners just need reassurance that they are doing the right thing.

We will endeavour to respond to your call as soon as possible.

PUPPY CLASSES and RECALL sessionS

4 Week Initial Puppy Class

Consisting of 4 x 1 hour sessions

Total Cost £60

Aim of the Classes - To cover the following basic exercises for puppies aged from 14 weeks

Socialisation around other dogs and people
Introduction to Recall
Basic commands - Sit, Stand and Lay Down
Introduction to walking to heel without pulling

Each week we will develop your dogs understanding of the exercises shown and explain the importance of repetition and consistency

These classes are also suitable for dogs that have had little or no previous training in a group environment

Solo paws supporting dog rescues

There has been an increase in dogs coming into UK Dog Rescues and many are full or close to capacity. With more and more people wanting to give up their dogs, it is becoming a serious problem. This situation is being made even more difficult because there has been a decrease in the number of people wanting to rehome a rescue dog.

At Solo Paws Dog Training we have rescued and fostered several dogs and are passionate in trying to help local rescues.

We offer free dog training; either a place on the Puppy Classes or One-to-One session for anyone who is a registered Foster Carer or Volunteer for a local rescue and is currently caring for a rescue dog.
